Cape York jobs boost to come through NAIF investment for floating bauxite terminal

The North Queensland Cowboys’ bid to build a Community, Training and High Performance Centre in Townsville has received approval from the Northern Australia Infrastructure Facility (NAIF). Celebrating 40 years of Australia-US Earth observations

The Australian Government today celebrated its 40-year partnership with the United States on Earth observations with the commissioning of new artwork on an antenna at the Alice Springs satellite ground station. International decision makers orbit Australia

Representatives of more than 40 countries met at the GEO Week 2019 Ministerial Summit in Canberra today to discuss investment in digital technologies that maximise the value of Earth observation data. Hosted by Minister for Resources and Northern Australia Matt Canavan the summit follows a report commissioned by the Australian Government which estimates Earth and marine observation adds $29 billion in value to Australia’s economy. The report projects this could increase to $101 billion by 2030. Read more
